The GLC-SX-MM is one of Cisco's 1000BASE-SX Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) transceivers. These hot-swappable input/output devices plug into a Gigabit Ethernet port or slot, linking the port with the fiber-optic network. This SX model operates on ordinary multimode fiber-optic (MMF) link spans of up to 550 meters in length.
Note: The equipment shipped may be new or refurbished at Cisco's discretion.
Product service and support: Cisco will provide five years of hardware and software service and support (SMARTnet) for any product or product bundle obtained through this donation program.

- Operates on 50-micrometer multimode fiber links up to 550 meters and on 62.5-micrometer FDDI-grade multimode fibers up to 220 meters.
