The WS-CE500-24TT is one of the Catalyst Express 500 series switches for networks with up to 250 workstations. These Layer 2–managed Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet switches offer nonblocking, wire-speed performance that provides a secure network foundation optimized for data, wireless, and voice. Built-in advanced security features help protect individual devices as well as the entire network.
No console cable or terminal emulation application is needed for intitialization through the embedded GUI Device Manager. There are two options for switch management: GUI Device Manager for all operating systems and the Windows-based Cisco Network Assistant available at no cost from the Cisco website.
The 24TT model is a basic 24-port switch that provides:
- Twenty-four 10/100 ports for desktop connectivity
- Two 10/100/1000BASE-T ports for uplink or server connectivity
- Organizations that need 48 ports should install two 24TT switches.
Product service and support: Cisco will provide five years of hardware and software service and support ("SMARTnet") for any product or product bundle obtained through this donation program.
